Rangs de vignes au coucher du soleil pendant les vendanges

September at the estate

Harvest time,
one stone at a time.

The moment

Every year, the same impatience takes hold of us in late August: taste a grape, feel its skin give way under the teeth, and know. Harvest can't be decided by a calendar — it's read in the fruit itself. So we watch, we taste, we wait for the right morning, the one when the fruit has given everything without ever ripening too much.

The harvest

Picked right, by hand

Nothing replaces a hand on the shears. Our pickers work through every row early in the morning, while the cool air still protects the fruit, laying the bunches gently into small crates so they reach the cellar intact.

This slow gesture, repeated hundreds of times a day, remains for us the best guarantee of a grape respected all the way to the press.

Patience

Then comes the silence of the cellar

Once the harvest is in, the grape gives way to time. In the stone-cool cellar, the vats and barrels take over from the sun: it's there, in the dim light, that the juice slowly becomes the wine you will drink.

We hardly touch it anymore. We taste, we listen to the silence, and we let it be.

Visit the estate

After the harvest, the cellar awaits you

During the harvest the estate is closed to visitors: the whole team is in the vines. We welcome you again from mid-September, Tuesday to Saturday, to taste the wines and smell the cellar as it ferments.
